Disk shelf IDs are duplicated.
Each Fibre Channel and ATA disk shelf
in a loop must have a unique ID
between 1 and 6.
The behavior when disk shelf IDs are
duplicated depends on how many disk
shelves are in the loop.
If there are fewer than seven disk
shelves in the loop, Data ONTAP
assigns a soft address to each disk drive
on the shelves whose disk shelf IDs are
duplicated. Data ONTAP also issues the
following message:
