Chapter 3. Installing the Hardware Management Console
If this installation does not call for a Hardware Management Console connection
skip this procedure and go to Chapter 4, “System Power-On” on page 4-1
The Hardware Management Console is an optional feature on the 7060 and can be
used to control multiple systems from one location, or multiple Hardware
Management Console can be installed at multiple location for multiple operators
such as System Programmers, Administers or Operators.
If this installation is using an existing Hardware Management Console from a
previous installation and does or does not have a new Hardware Management
Console shipped with this order, ensure that you have performed the hardware
upgrade
Code Load Instructions shipped with the new code. Section 10.1 PRE
EC/EMC Information Recording through and including section 10.6 Upgrade (SE)
Licensed Internal Code Using the Hardware Management Console OR Refer to
a 9672 Service Guide SY24-6160 chapter 5 Upgrading Internal Code (Hardware
Management Console) before continuing. Perform the following procedure on new
console to be installed. If there are no new consoles to install go to Chapter 4,
“System Power-On” on page 4-1

