• Sense data — These log entries are Library/Drive sense data in [ x / yy / zz ] format,
where x is the sense key, yy is the ASC code, and zz is the ASCQ code. The sense
data is listed in “Library Sense Data” on page 1-27 and “Tape Drive Sense Data” on
page 1-28.

View Library Logs to display and download the library error
log history, one line per error.
When an error is selected in the Index list , details of that error log entry are displayed
in the Detail panel, comprising the index number, time of the error, and error code
description. The entry can be filtered to display errors with specific sense data code
and library error code attributes. The
Index list displays the most recent error log
(000) to the oldest (nnn), discarding the oldest error records when the log is full.
There are 2 types of error data displayed in the library log with different Code
attributes:
• Library/Drive sense data (Sense key/ASC/ASCQ)
For example, a 6/41/FE error states a drive error message was detected. Selecting
log entry 000 shows that the library detected that Drive 1 caused a Unit Attention
because it contained a FID2 ED. 3592 drives display a FID2 ED after a dump is
forced to flash memory. This FID2 ED remains on the drive until it is reset (cleared)
from memory.
• Library/Drive error code ([Code])
For example, in log entry 003, a [00D7] error states that a redundant power supply
error was detected. Information on errors and action to resolve the problem are
listed in “Library Error Codes” on page 1-5.
To download library logs:
1. Expand Service Library , if necessary, and click on View Library Logs in the left
navigation pane of the Web User Interface.
