Removing the bezel
When working with some devices, such as additional optical drives, you must first
remove the bezel to access the device.
To remove the bezel, complete the following steps:
1. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation guidelines”
on page 79.
2. Unlock the side-cover lock.
3. Remove the side cover (see “Removing the side cover” on page 81).
4. Locate the bezel-release lever; then, press the bezel-release lever toward the
front of the computer.

5. Pull the top of the bezel away from the chassis; then, push the bezel down to
disengage the bottom tabs.
6. Remove the bezel from the computer and store the bezel in a safe place.
Replacing the bezel
To replace the bezel, complete the following steps:
1. Insert the two tabs on the bottom of the bezel into the matching holes on the
computer chassis.
2. Push the top of the bezel toward the computer until the two tabs at the top of
the bezel snap into place.
