Understanding the MFP control panel messages
290 Scanner jam,
remove all originals
from the scanner
Replace all originals
if restarting job
The scanner detects a jam. Clear the scanner path and replace
original documents in the ADF.

defective Print
Cartridge, replace

A defective print cartridge is
installed or no print cartridge is
installed. Replace the print cartridge.
32 Unsupported Print
Cartridge, replace

An unsupported print cartridge is
installed. Remove the print cartridge and install a
supported one.

34 Short Paper
The MFP has determined that the
length of the paper is too short to
print the formatted data. Highlight
Continue
and press
✓
to clear
the message and continue printing. The
MFP does not automatically reprint the
page that prompted the message.
Make sure the Paper Size setting in the
Paper Menu is correct for the size paper
you are using. If MP Feeder Size is set to
Universal, make sure your paper is large
enough for the formatted data.

35 Insufficient
memory to support
Resource Save feature
The MFP lacks the memory
needed to enable Resource Save.
This message usually indicates too
much memory is allocated for one
or more of the MFP link buffers. Highlight
Disable Resource Save

Install additional memory.
