Functions On/Off
Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings.
Annotations To specify whether to print the
annotations within the PDF file.
Annotation tools provide a
variety of methods for marking
up text and attaching notes and
commentaries to PDF
documents. Do Not Print* Do not print the
annotations in the PDF file.
Print Print the annotations in the
PDF file.
Defaults Menu – Security – Functions On/Off
Menu item Purpose Values and descriptions
Copy Lets the support person block the Copy
button, so if a user presses the Copy button,
the Copy menus do not appear. On* The Copy button functions are not
blocked.
Off The Copy button functions are blocked.
Fax Lets the support person block the Fax button,
so if a user presses the Fax button, the Fax
menus do not appear. On* The Fax button functions are not
blocked.
Off The Fax button functions are blocked.
E-mail Lets the support person block the E-mail
button, so if a user presses the E-mail
button, the E-mail menus do not appear. On* The E-mail button functions are not
blocked.
Off The E-mail button functions are

Profiles Lets the support person block the
Print/Profiles button, so if a user presses the
Print/Profiles button, the Print/Profiles menus
