battery
connector
is
polarized;
do
not
attempt
to
reverse
the
polarity.
Dispose

battery

local
regulations.

battery
is
located
in
the
primary
I/O
book.
Before
removing
the
primary
I/O
book
to
access
the
battery,
follow
the
procedures
titled
and
Removal
1.
Remove
the
primary
I/O
book
(see
2.
Use
a
T10
torx
driver
to
remove
the
screws
for
the
short
cover
near
the
connectors.
3.
Locate
the
battery
near
the
spare
VPD
card
connector
as
shown
in
the
following
illustration.

Use
one
finger
to
gently
press
the
top
edge
of
the
battery
in
and
down
from
the
battery
socket.
Then
use
your
thumb
and
index
finger
to
pull
the
battery
out
of
the
socket,
as
shown
in
the
following
illustration.
