Install
the
power
supply
in
the
empty
bay.

Rotate
the
power-supply
handle
down
to
the
open
position,
and
then
slide
the
power
supply
into
the
power-supply
bay.

Gently
lift
up
the
power-supply
handle
until
it
clicks
into
place.
4.
Connect
the
power
cord
for
the
new
power
supply
to
the
power-cord
connector
on
the
power
supply.
If
redundant
power
supplies
are
installed
in
the
server,
see
for
additional
information.
5.
Connect
the
power
cord
to
a
properly
grounded
electrical
outlet.
6.
Make
sure
that
the
power-supply
fan
starts
and
the
ac
power
LED
(top)
and
dc
power
LED
(bottom)
on
the
power
supply
are
lit,
indicating
that
the
power
supply
is
operating
correctly.
The
two
green
LEDs
are
to
the
left
of
the
power-cord
connector.
Removing
a
power
supply
Before
you
replace
an
existing
power
supply,
you
must
remove
the
old
one.
Complete
the
following
steps
to
remove
a
hot-swap
power
supply:
1.
Read
the
safety
information
beginning
on
page
v
and
2.
Disconnect
the
power
cords:
v
If
the
server
has
only
one
power
supply
installed
in
it,
turn
off
the
server
and
peripheral
devices;
then,
disconnect
all
power
cords
and
external
cables
(see
v
If
the
server
has
redundant
power
supplies,
disconnect
the
power
cord
from
the
power
supply
that
is
being
replaced.
