Input parameters from the device

Sector Count

The number of requested sectors not transferred.

Sector Number

The sector number of the transferred sector. (L=0)

In LBA mode this register contains current LBA bits 0 - 7. (L=1)

Cylinder High/Low The cylinder number of the transferred sector. (L=0)

In LBA mode this register contains current LBA bits 8 - 15 (Low), 16 - 23 (High).

H

The head number of the transferred sector. (L=0)

In LBA mode this register contains current LBA bits 24-27. (L=1)

It should be noted that the device internally uses 40 bytes of ECC data on all data written or read from
the disk. The 4 byte mode of operation is provided via an emulation. Use of the 40 byte ECC mode is re-
commended for testing the effectiveness and integrity of the ECC functions of the device.
