POST
When
you
turn
on
the
DPI
blade,
it
performs
a
series
of
tests
to
check
the
operation
of
the
DPI
blade
components
and
some
optional
devices
in
the
DPI
blade.
This
series
of
tests
is
called
the
power-on
self-test,
or
POST.
Error
logs
There
are
two
types
of
error
logs
for
the
DPI
blade:
the
advanced
management
module
log
and
the
Application
Server
Module
(ASM)
log.
The
advanced
management
module
log
contains
all
critical
errors,
such
as
voltage
and
temperature
errors.
It
also
contains
data
about
the
DPI
blade
status.
The
advanced
management
module
log
does
not
contain
application-related
status.
The
ASM
provides
all
the
physical
property
information,
application
information,
status
messages,
and
error
messages
that
are
necessary
to
describe
the
DPI
blade.
You
can
view
this
information
from
the
Web
Management
Interface
or
the
command-line
interface.
Important:
v
A
single
problem
might
cause
several
error
messages.
When
this
occurs,
work
to
correct
the
cause
of
the
first
error
message.
After
you
correct
the
cause
of
the
first
error
message,
the
other
error
messages
usually
will
not
occur
the
next
time
you
run
the
test.
v
The
management-module
event
log
in
the
BladeCenter
unit
lists
messages
according
to
the
position
of
the
DPI
blade
in
the
blade
bays.
If
a
DPI
blade
is
moved
from
one
bay
to
another,
the
management-module
event
log
reports
messages
for
that
DPI
blade
in
relation
to
the
new
bay
number;
messages
for
that
DPI
blade
that
were
generated
before
the
move
will
still
be
listed
in
relation
to
the
previous
bay
number.
