order number SA38-0509.
If Linux is the only operating system on the
system, schedule deferred maintenance with the
customer. When it is possible to reboot the
system, do the following:
1. Using the service processor’s system power
control menu, disable fast mode boot.
(Disabling fast mode automatically enables
slow mode.)
2. Boot the AIX diagnostic CD-ROM.
3. Run diagnostics in problem determination
mode. If no errors are recorded against any
of the processors (devices with a resource
name of proc
x
), array bit steering was
successful and the problem has been
corrected.
If errors are reported against the hardware,
follow the actions for the error code or SRN.
