Error code Description Action
201-198-xxx Memory Test Aborted.
1. Restart the server.
2. Run the diagnostic test again.
3. Reinstall the diagnostic programs (see “Updating
the firmware” on page 13).
4. Check the system-error log and the BMC log for
messages that indicate the cause of the error and
take the indicated action.
201-199-xxx Memory Test Aborted: unexpected error.
1. Restart the server.
2. Run the diagnostic test again.
3. Reinstall the diagnostic programs (see “Updating
the firmware” on page 13).
4. Check the system-error log and the BMC log for
messages that indicate the cause of the error,
and take the indicated action.
201-xxx-PBD Failed Memory Test:
v P = microprocessor/memory card [1 - 4]
v B = bank [1 - 4]
v D = failing DIMM [1 - 8] on
microprocessor/memory card P
Note: If D = 9, both DIMMs in the bank
failed.
1. Reseat the following components:
a. DIMM D, see “Removing a DIMM” on page 48
and “Replacing a DIMM” on page 49.
b. Microprocessor/memory card P. See
“Removing a microprocessor/memory card” on
page 51 and “Replacing a

2. Replace the following components one at a time,
in the order shown, restarting the server each
time:
