Functions and Features
1
POWER button
Press the POWER button to turn the power ON/OFF. If
there is no input for twenty minutes after the power
was turned on, the MU40 will automatically turn off.

TUNER/METRONOME button
Each time you press the TUNER/METRONOME but-
ton, the MU40 will switch between TUNER mode and
METRONOME mode. The LCD will indicate either
CHROMATIC or METRONOME.

FUNCTION button
If you’re in TUNER mode, pressing the FUNCTION
button will switch between PITCH and FLAT.
If you’re in METRONOME mode, pressing the FUNC-
TION button will switch between BEAT, TEMPO, TAP,
and RHYTHM.

ADJUST buttons
Use the ADJUST buttons to adjust the PITCH, FLAT,
BEAT, TEMPO, TAP, or RHYTHM value you selected
using the FUNCTION button.

SOUND/MUTE button
●
In TUNER mode
When you press the SOUND button, the LCD will indi-
cate NOTE and the speaker will output the pitch of the
note you select using the
buttons.
If you press the FUNCTION button to select FLAT, the
speaker will output the flatted pitch in the range of
~
for the current note.
The SPEAKER icon is shown in the LCD while the
MU40 is producing sound.

In METRONOME mode
This button functions as a MUTE button.
The SPEAKER icon is shown in the LCD while the
MU40 is producing sound.
Operation
[TUNER]
Press the POWER ON/OFF button to turn the power on.
Press the TUNER/METRONOME button to enter TUNER
mode. In this mode the MU40 functions as a chromatic
tuner. You can use the FUNCTION button and
but-
tons to change each PITCH and FLAT settings.
By using the built-in mic you can also tune an acoustic
guitar or similar instrument.
If the pitch of your instrument is more than 50 cents away
from the correct pitch, tune your instrument until the cor-
rect note name appears in the LCD and one or the other
guideline LED is lit.
If the pitch is within 50 cents of the correct pitch, watch the
needle of the meter and tune your instrument so that the
needle is at the “0” position.
When the tuner needle stops at “0” the center LED will
light; your instrument is tuned correctly.

Using SOUND mode while you tune
When you press the SOUND button, the NOTE will indi-
cate “A” and the “A” pitch will sound. As necessary, use
the FUNCTION button and the
buttons to change the
NOTE and/or FLAT settings to the desired note, and tune
your instrument.
[METRONOME]
Press the POWER ON/OFF button to turn the power on.
Press the TUNER/METRONOME button to enter METRO-
NOME mode.
In this mode the MU40 functions as a metronome. You
can use the FUNCTION button and
buttons to change
the BEAT, TEMPO, TAP, and RHYTHM settings.

BEAT setting
Use the FUNCTION button to select BEAT, and use
to select a beat (time signature) in the range of 0~7 beats.
●
TEMPO setting
Use the FUNCTION button to select TEMPO, and use
to adjust the tempo in the range of 40~208.
●
TAP setting
Use the FUNCTION button to select TAP. Then press the
button several times at the desired tempo. The MU40
will detect the tempo and display it.
If the detected tempo is less than 39, the display will indi-
cate LO. If it is 209 or higher, the display will indicate HI.
●
RHYTHM setting
Use the FUNCTION button to select RHYTHM, and use
button to select the desired rhythm.

Schalten Sie das Stimmgerät immer aus, wenn es nicht
benutzt wird.

Es werden zwei 3-V-Batterien im AAA-Format benötigt
(R03, LR03, L30).
Funktionen und Eigenschaften

POWER-Taste
Drücken Sie die Taste POWER, um das Gerät ein- oder
auszuschalten. Falls nach dem Einschalten 20 Minuten
lang kein Eingangssignal registriert wurde, schaltet sich
das MU40 automatisch aus.

TUNER/METRONOME-Taste
Mit jedem Druck auf die TUNER/METRONOME-Taste
schaltet das MU40 zwischen den Betriebsarten TUNER
(Stimmgerät) und METRONOME (Metronom) um. Im
LCD erscheint einer der Einträge CHROMATIC oder
METRONOME.

FUNCTION-Taste
Wenn Sie die FUNCTION-Taste drücken, während der
TUNER-Modus gewählt ist, schaltet diese zwischen
PITCH (Tonhöhe) und FLAT (Tiefalteration) um.
Wenn Sie die FUNCTION-Taste drücken, während der
METRONOME-Modus gewählt ist, schaltet diese
zwischen BEAT (Takt), TEMPO, TAP (Mitklopfen) und
RHYTHM (Rhythmus) um.

ADJUST-Tasten
Mit den ADJUST-Tasten stellen Sie den Wert für PITCH,
FLAT, BEAT, TEMPO, TAP oder RHYTHM ein, je
nachdem, welchen Wert Sie mit der FUNCTION-Taste
ausgewählt haben.

SOUND/MUTE-Taste
●
Im TUNER-Modus
Wenn Sie die SOUND-Taste drücken, zeigt das LCD
den Eintrag NOTE an, und der Lautsprecher gibt den
Ton der Note aus, die Sie mit den
-Tasten gewählt
haben.
Wenn Sie mit der FUNCTION-Taste FLAT auswählen,
gibt der Lautsprecher den tiefalterierten Ton der
gewählten Note im Bereich ~
der aktuellen
Note aus.
Das Lautsprechersymbol (SPEAKER) erscheint im
LCD, während das MU40 den Ton ausgibt.

Im METRONOME-Modus
Diese Taste funktioniert als MUTE-Taste (Stumm-
schaltung).

Bedienung
[TUNER]
Drücken Sie die POWER ON/OFF-Taste, um das Gerät
einzuschalten.
Drücken Sie die Taste TUNER/METRONOME, um in den
TUNER-Modus zu schalten. In diesem Modus arbeitet das
MU40 als chromatisches Stimmgerät. Sie können die Taste
FUNCTION und die Tasten
verwenden, um die
Einstellungen PITCH und FLAT einzustellen.
Mit dem eingebauten Mikrofon können Sie auch eine
akustische Gitarre oder andere akustische Instrumente
stimmen.
Wenn die Tonhöhe Ihres Instruments um mehr als 50 Cents
(Hundertstel) von der richtigen Tonhöhe abweicht, stimmen
Sie Ihr Instrument so, dass der richtige Notenname im LCD
erscheint und eine der beiden Richtungs-LEDs leuchten.
Wenn die Tonhöhe um weniger als 50 Cents von der
richtigen Tonhöhe abweicht, achten Sie auf die Nadel in
der Anzeige und stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument so, dass die
Nadel auf der Position „0“ steht.
Wenn die Nadel die Nullstellung erreicht, leuchtet die
mittlere LED auf um anzuzeigen, dass Ihr Instrument richtig
gestimmt ist.

Verwendung des SOUND-Modusö während des
Stimmens
Wenn Sie die SOUND-Taste drücken, zeigt die NOTE den
Eintrag „A“ an, und der Ton „A“ erklingt. Benutzen Sie die
Tasten FUNCTION und
wie gewünscht, um die
Einstellungen NOTE und/oder FLAT auf die gewünschte
Note einzustellen, und stimmen Sie Ihr Instrument.
[METRONOME]
Drücken Sie die POWER ON/OFF-Taste, um das Gerät
einzuschalten.
Drücken Sie die Taste TUNER/METRONOME, um in den
METRONOME-Modus zu schalten.
In diesem Modus arbeitet das MU40 als Metronom. Mit
der FUNCTION-Taste und den
-Tasten können Sie
zwischen den Einstellungen BEAT, TEMPO, TAP und
RHYTHM umschalten.

BEAT-Einstellung
Stellen Sie mit der FUNCTION-Taste BEAT ein, und
benutzen Sie
zur Einstellung der Grundtaktart (Anzahl
der Schläge/Takt) im Bereich von 0~7 Schlägen.

TEMPO-Einstellung
Stellen Sie mit der FUNCTION-Taste TEMPO ein, und
benutzen Sie
zur Einstellung des Tempos im Bereich
von 40~208 Schlägen pro Minute.
●
TAP-Einstellung
Stellen Sie mit der FUNCTION-Taste TAP ein. Drücken
Sie dann mehrfach auf die Taste
im gewünschten
Tempo. Das MU40 erkennt das Tempo und zeigt es an.
Wenn das erkannte Tempo langsamer ist als 39, zeigt die
Anzeige den Eintrag „LO“ (niedrig) an. Wenn es 209 oder
höher ist, zeigt das Display den Eintrag „HI“ (hoch) an.

RHYTHM-Einstellung
Verwenden Sie die Taste FUNCTION zur Auswahl von
RHYTHM, und verwenden Sie die Taste
zur Auswahl

Fonctions de l’accordeur

Bouton POWER
Appuyez sur le bouton POWER pour mettre le MU40
sous/hors tension. Si aucune opération n’est effectuée
dans les vingt minutes suivant la mise sous tension, le
MU40 se met automatiquement hors tension.

METRONOME, le MU40 passe en mode TUNER ou
en mode METRONOME. CHROMATIC ou METRO-
NOME apparaît sur l’écran LCD.

Fonctionnement
[ACCORDEUR]
Appuyez sur le bouton POWER ON/OFF pour mettre le
MU40 sous tension.
Appuyez sur le bouton TUNER/METRONOME pour passer
en mode TUNER. Le MU40 fonctionne alors comme un
accordeur chromatique. Vous pouvez utiliser le bouton
FUNCTION et les boutons
pour modifier les réglages
PITCH et FLAT.
Le micro intégré vous permet également d’accorder une
guitare sèche ou un instrument similaire.
Si la hauteur de votre instrument est supérieure à 50 cents
par rapport à la hauteur juste, accordez votre instrument
jusqu’à ce que le nom de la note correcte s’affiche sur
l’écran LCD et que l’un des témoins s’allume.
Si la hauteur se situe dans une fourchette de 50 cents de
la hauteur juste, observez l’aiguille de l’indicateur et
accordez votre instrument pour qu’elle se trouve sur la
position “0”.
Lorsque l’aiguille de l’accordeur s’arrÍte sur “0”, le témoin
du milieu s’allume ; votre instrument est correctement
accordé.

Utilisation du mode SOUND pendant l’accord
Lorsque vous appuyez sur le bouton SOUND, NOTE
indique “A” et la hauteur “A” se fait entendre. Au besoin,
utilisez le bouton FUNCTION et les boutons
pour
modifier les réglages NOTE et/ou FLAT afin d’obtenir la
note souhaitée et accordez votre instrument.
[METRONOME]
Appuyez sur le bouton POWER ON/OFF pour mettre le
MU40 sous tension.
Appuyez sur le bouton TUNER/METRONOME pour passer
en mode METRONOME.
Le MU40 fonctionne alors comme un métronome. Vous
pouvez utiliser le bouton FUNCTION et les boutons
pour modifier les réglages BEAT, TEMPO, TAP et
RHYTHM.

Utilisez le bouton FUNCTION pour sélectionner la valeur

TAP. Appuyez ensuite plusieurs fois sur le bouton

tempo souhaité. Le MU40 détecte le tempo et l’affiche.
Si le tempo détecté est inférieur à 39, LO apparaît sur
l’écran. S’il est supérieur ou égal à 209, HI apparaît sur
l’écran.
