Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP)
This switch supports LLDP. The Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) provides a standards-based method for enabling
switches to advertise themselves to adjacent devices and to learn about adjacent LLDP devices. The LLDP is a vender-
neutral protocol in the Internet Protocol Suite used by network devices for advertising their Identity, capabilities, and
neighbors on an IEE 802 local area network, principally wired Ethernet. The protocol is formally referred to by the IEEE as
Station and Media Access Control Connectivity Discovery specified in standards document IEEE 802.1AB.
To Configure LLDP in the web interface:
Click Configuration / LLDP / LLDP
Modify LLDP timing parameters.
Set the required mode for transmitting or receiving LDP messages.
Specify the information to include in the TLV field of advertised messages.
Click Apply and click the Save icon in the upper right corner to save the settings or, click Reset to cancel the
settings. It will revert to previously saved values.
