About MSN Hotmail
With MSN Hotmail on your Pocket PC, you have access to your
Hotmail inbox even when you’re mobile. Read, send, and reply to e-
mail, and manage your folders. Mark e-mail attachments for
downloading so that you can view them.
Pocket MSN Messenger overview
With MSN Messenger you can send instant messages to your
contacts mobile devices or computers. For instructions, select a task
below.
Getting started with Windows Live Messenger
To use Windows Live Messenger, you need Microsoft Passport
Network credentials. After obtaining credentials, complete the
following tasks:
1. Set up a connection with your phone, refer to Chapter-4 Getting
connected, that enables you to connect to the Internet.
2. Set up an Windows Live Messenger account. For more information, see
Set up an Account.
3. Sign in to MSN Messenger. For more information, see Sign In and out.
To obtain a Passport, go to http://www.passport.com.
To create a Hotmail account, go to http://www.hotmail.com.
Sign in to Windows Live
or Hotmail
The sign-in process helps to maintain secure access to your MSN
Hotmail and Windows Live Messenger accounts. Sign-in lasts for 24
hours, regardless of power or connection loss. Just being signed in
to Pocket MSN does not incur charges, but if you are also signed in
to Messenger, or if you are sending and receiving e-mail you can
incur charges.
1. On the Windows home screen, click Start >
Messenger.
2. Click Sign in.
