7 Firmware update software
The sensor and the adapter can be upgraded online through the firmware update software. Make sure that
there is no power-down occurring during the update. Otherwise there will be a risk of irreparable damage.
7.1. Sensor firmware update
Steps:
1. Connect the host software to the sensor according to 5.1.1.
2. Click the
Stop
button to stop the acquisition performed by the sensor.
3. Click
Update
on the menu bar to open the
window .
4. Click the
Browse
button to load the file
SixAxis_xxx.hyp
.
5. Click the
Write
button and wait until it is prompted that the update is successful (Do not power it
down halfway).
6. After making sure that the update is completed, close the software, turn on the sensor again, and
connect it to the host software again and make sure that the sensor is working normally.
7.2. Ethernet firmware update
Steps:
1. Connect the host software to the sensor according to 5.1.1.
2. After making sure that the sensor and the adapter are working normally, close the software.
