5.4 Measure or display dynamic pressure / differential

pressure

If pressure is measured in a hydraulic system, the type of mea-
surement such as dynamic pressure or differential pressure
as well as the measurement point is critical, as shown in the
following diagram.

∆p1 = Differential pressure

p1 = Back-pressure

In the example, the back pressure at the first measurement
point shows the total of the subsequent pressures in the hy-
draulic system.
