7.3 Cleaning the protective screen

To protect the pump from coarse contaminant particles or for-
eign bodies, a protective screen is installed in the suction
lance. Clean the strainer regularly. Check the protective screen
immediately in the event of insufficient suction or delivery ac-
tion.

Operation without the protective screen

The filter unit will be damaged/destroyed

To clean the protective screen, proceed as follows:

ü

Switch the filter unit off at the main switch.

ü

Wear gloves.

ü

Remove the pressure and suction lances from the con-
tainers/reservoirs.

ü

Empty the suction hose into a suitable container, dirt
tank etc.

Rotate the protective pipe (5) away from the suction
lance (2) in counterclockwise direction.

Remove the protective screen (4) from the protective
pipe.
