Checking the pump for leaks

The pump contains a sealing medium between the pump mechanism and the
shaft seal. This sealing medium prevents diesel from exiting through the shaft
and collecting above the electric motor under certain circumstances where it
could possibly catch fire.
Check the pump for leakage through the inspection opening at least every
three months.
