7.13 Checking the protective gloves
The gloves are subject to wear due to both mechanical and chemi-
cal use. Therefore, it is imperative to check them regularly and to
replace them.

Damaged / Worn protective gloves
Health hazard

Check the protective gloves for leaks on a daily basis.
u If you find signs of wear, replace the protective gloves immedi-
ately.
Mechanical wear includes, for example: Cuts and tears which re-
sult from burrs, sharp edges on components and excessive wear
through components with rough surfaces.
Chemical wear comes about as a result of, for example, perme-
ation. For details, refer to chapter

Provided there is no mechanical damage to the surface, the pro-
tective gloves can be used for six months (with average use & sin-
gle shift operation). The tests that were carried out were based on
the G60 Spezial/Feroclean L261 test liquid.
Please note that the period of use of the protective gloves de-
pends on the test liquid and can vary.
