7.5.3 Avoiding the mixing of test liquids - Flushing the
extraction unit
If you want to use the same test liquid for operation as in the previ-
ous operation, the mixing of test liquids is not critical.
To change the test liquid from water <-> G60 Spezial or Fero-
clean L261 carry out the following steps:
– Empty all lines and all filter housings.
– Replace all filter elements
– Flush the extraction unit with the new test liquid until no more
mixing can be detected.
The mixing of test liquids such as water with G60 Spezial or Fero-
clean L261 results in the formation of an emulsion. Sampling with
an emulsion results in non-representative/faulty measurement re-
sults.
7.6 Checking the screwed and plug connections
Screwed and plug connections can become loose due to shaking
or vibrations. Check all the screwed and plug connections regu-
larly for correct seating.
7.7 Visual inspection of the electric
components/cables
Electrical components and cables can be damaged. Check the
electrical components and cables on the unit and in the switch
cabinet through regular visual inspections.
7.8 Checking the hoses
The installed hoses are specially designed for this application.
Check the hoses once a year for brittleness, damage and leaks.
