ArbSchG
The Occupational Health and Safety Act
(ArbSchG) is a German law implement-
ing EU directives on occupational health
and safety. Its full name is: Law on the
implementation of occupational health
and safety measures to improve the
safety and health of employees at work.
The aim of the law is to ensure and im-
prove the health of all employees
through occupational health and safety

DGUV
DGUV is the abbreviation for the
Deutsche Gesetzliche Unfallver-
sicherung (German statutory accident in-
surance). This body issues accident pre-
vention regulations whose compliance is
checked by the supervisory services of
the accident insurance companies. Be-
low this level of regulations, the accident
insurance companies have also worked
out a comprehensive set of regulations
(rules, information and principles) to
support companies and insured parties
in the discharge of their obligations in
the area of safety and health.
DIN EN ISO 8434-1
Metallic tube connections for fluid power

Industrial Safety Regulation
The Industrial Safety Regulation (Betr-
SichV) is the German implementation of
the Work Equipment Directive 89/655/
EEC[1], later replaced by Directive
2009/104/EC[2], and, in Germany, it reg-
ulates the provision of work equipment
by the employer, the use of work equip-
ment by employees at work, and the op-
eration of systems requiring monitoring
in terms of occupational safety and
