Lifting and Transporting
3.1
Lifting the Machine
Note:

for the weight of the machine.
Lifting the
machine
manually
1. Stop the engine.
2. Obtain a partner and plan the lift.
3. Balance the weight between the partners and lift the machine by the guard ring
(a)
, or proceed as follows:
a. Insert an object that can support the weight of the machine (such as a piece
of lumber) into the lifting bracket
(b)
.
b. Balance the weight between the partners and lift the machine by the handle
and the chosen lifting object.
Lifting the

mechanically
1. Stop the engine.
2. See
Dimensions and Weight
for the weight of the machine and be sure that the
lifting device(s) can safely lift the weight.
3. Attach a hook, harness, or cable to the lifting bracket on the machine and lift as
desired.
CAUTION
Do not lift the machine solely by the handle. The component may fail, causing
the machine to fall, possibly injuring bystanders.
CAUTION
To reduce the risk of back injury while lifting, keep your feet flat on the ground
and shoulder width apart. Keep your head up and back straight.

CAUTION
Do not lift the trowel overhead with any additional components attached, as
those components could fall off and strike personnel working in the vicinity.
