GENERAL PROCEDURES

Workshop Manual  Ed. 09-2012

Removal of lower tail cover

Remove the saddle, the luggage rack, the rear tail cover, the antitheft device 

compartment cover, the side panels and the rear panels as described in the 

relevant paragraphs.

-  Remove the battery (1) as described in the relevant paragraph.

-   Disconnect the tail light connector (2) and the turning indicator connectors 

(3).

-   Unscrew the screws (4) that secure the ECU (5).

-   Remove the starter relay (6), the relays (7), the fuse box (8) and the diagnosis 

socket (9) from their supports.

-   Free the lower cover from the cable harness and the electrical components.
