If the motorcycle is unwilling to start, the cause can be old fuel in the float chamber. The flammable ele-
ments of the fuel evaporate after a long time of standing.
If the float chamber is filled with fresh fuel, the engine starts immediately.
The motorcycle has been out of use for more than 1 week
–
Empty the carburetor float chamber.

Turn handle

ON

Fuel can flow from the fuel tank to the carburetor.

Remove the motorcycle from the stand.
–
Shift gear to neutral.
The engine is cold
–
Pull the choke lever out as far as possible.

Press the kick starter robustly through its full range.

Do not open the throttle.

Press the electric starter button or push the kick starter robustly through its full range.
Info
Press the electric starter button for a maximum of 5 seconds. Wait for 30 seconds before a fur-
ther attempt at starting.
At temperatures below 15 °C (60 °F), several attempts at starting may be necessary to warm-up
the lithium-ion battery and thereby increase the starting power.
Do not open the throttle.

Switch on the light before riding. This will make it easier for other road users to see you.
When you are riding, the side stand must be folded up and secured with the rubber band.

Pull the clutch lever, engage 1st gear, release the clutch lever slowly, and simultaneously open the throttle
carefully.

If you change down at high engine speed, the rear wheel blocks and the engine
races.

Do not change into a low gear at high engine speed.
