Removing the battery (TX 300)
Warning
Risk of injury
Batteries contain harmful substances.

Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
–
Keep sparks and open flames away from the batteries.
–
Only charge batteries in well-ventilated rooms.
–
Maintain a minimum clearance from inflammable materials when charging batteries.
Minimum clearance
1 m (3 ft)
–
Do not charge deeply discharged batteries if charge is already below the minimum voltage.
Minimum voltage before the start of the charge
9 V
–
Dispose of batteries with less than the minimum voltage correctly.
Preparatory work
–
Switch off all power consumers and switch off the engine.

Remove the air filter box cover. (

Remove the seat. (

Main work
–
Pull back the negative terminal cover
and disconnect negative cable
from
the battery.
–
Pull back the positive terminal cover
and disconnect positive cable
from
the battery.
–
Remove screw
.
–
Pull holding bracket
forward and take out the battery toward the top.

Installing the battery (TX 300)

Main work
–
Position the battery in the battery compartment with the terminals facing forward,
and secure with holding bracket
.

Mount and tighten screw

Connect positive cable
to the battery.

over the positive terminal.
