Ignition and steering lock

The ignition and steering lock is located in front of the upper
triple clamp.
Possible states
Ignition off
–
In this position, the ignition circuit
is interrupted, a running engine stops, and a
non-running engine will not start. The ignition key
can be removed.
Ignition on
–
In this position, the ignition circuit is
closed and the engine can be started.
Steering locked
–
In this position, the ignition circuit
is interrupted and the steering locked. The ignition
key can be removed.

Locking the steering

The parked vehicle can roll away or fall over.
–
Park the vehicle on a firm and level surface.

Park the vehicle.

Turn the handlebar all the way to the left.
–
Insert the ignition key into the ignition and steering lock,
press in, and turn to the left. Remove the ignition key.
Steering is no longer possible.

Unlocking the steering

Insert the ignition key into the ignition and steering lock,
press in, and turn to the right. Remove the ignition key.
The handlebar can now be moved again.
