To start the engine
1. Set the fuel valve lever (A) to the ON position.

2. Set the choke lever to the correct position.
a) If the engine is cold, close the choke (B).

b) If the engine is warm, open the choke (B).

3. Apply approximately ⅓ throttle (C).

4. Put the ON/OFF switch (D) to the ON position.

5. Pull the starter rope handle (E) slowly until you feel
resistance.
E
6. Pull the starter rope handle quickly and with force
until the engine starts.
7. Move the starter rope handle back slowly into its
initial position to prevent damage to the engine.
8. If the engine is cold, open the choke gradually as the
engine becomes warm.
