The fork legs straighten.

Removing the rear wheel
Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (

Main work
–
Press the brake caliper onto the brake disc by hand in order
to push back the brake piston.
Info
Make sure that you do not press the brake caliper
against the spokes when pushing back the brake pis-
ton.

Remove nut

Remove chain adjuster

. Pull out wheel spindle

enough to allow the rear wheel to be pushed forward.

Push the rear wheel forward as far as possible. Remove the
chain from the rear sprocket.

Cover the components to protect them against dam-
age.
Warning
Danger of accidents
Damaged brake discs reduce
the braking effect.

Always lay the wheel down in such a way that the
brake disc is not damaged.

Holding the rear wheel, withdraw the wheel spindle. Take rear
wheel out of the link fork.
Info
Do not operate the foot brake lever when the rear
wheel is removed.
