Removin  the air filter 

Note

Release catch 

Q, 

pull off the air filter box lid sideways in areas  f) and  G), and

remove toward the rear.

-

Position the air filter box cover and catch 

O. 

Engage the air filter box cover in

areas  f) and  G).

-

Engage catch 

O.

Engine failure 

Unfiltered intake air has a negative effect on the service life of the engine. 

-

Never operate the vehicle without an air filter as dust and dirt will enter the engine and lead to increased wear.

Warning 

Environmental hazard 

Hazardous substances cause environmental damage.

Oil,  grease,  filters,  fuel,  cleaners,  brake fluid,  etc.,  should be disposed of as stipulated in applicable regulations.

Preparatory work 

-

Remove the air filter box cover. (,r  p. 73)

Main work 

-

Push air filter holding bracket 

O 

toward the air filter at position  f),  and detach it

at end  G).

-

Swivel the air filter holding bracket to one side and remove the air filter with the

air filter support.

-

Take off air filter from air filter support.

Main work

Mount the clean air filter on the air filter support.

Grease the air filter in area  f).
