- Position the fork protector on the left fork leg. Mount and tighten screws

- Position the brake line, wiring harness, and clamp. Mount and tighten screws @.
- Position the fork protector on the right fork leg. Mount and tighten the screws.

- Switch off all power consumers and switch off the engine.
- Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. (

- Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. (� p. 11)
- Remove the front wheel. (

Main work
- Remove screws

and take off the clamp.
- Remove the cable tie(s).
- Remove screws @ and take off the brake caliper.
10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)
- Allow the brake caliper and brake line to hang loosely to the side.
- Loosen screws

Take out the left fork leg.
- Loosen screws

Take out the right fork leg.
Main work
- Position the fork legs.

The compression damping is located in left fork leg

adjusting screw). The rebound damping is located in right fork leg REB
(red adjusting screw).
Grooves are milled into the side of the upper end of the fork legs. The sec
ond milled groove (from the top) must be flush with the top edge of the
upper triple clamp.
- Tighten screws @.
