11.6 Installing the fork protector

Position the fork protector on the left fork leg. Mount and
tighten screws

Guideline
Remaining screws,
chassis M6 10 Nm (7.4 lbf ft)

Position the brake line and clamp. Mount and tighten
screws

Position the fork protector on the right fork leg. Mount and
tighten screws

11.7 Removing the fork legs
Preparatory work
–
Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 46)
–
Remove the front wheel. ( p. 94)

Main work
–
Remove screws

and take off the clamp.
–
Remove screws

and take off the brake caliper.
–
Allow the brake caliper and brake line to hang tension-free to
the side.
Info
Do not pull the hand brake lever when the front wheel
is removed.

Loosen screws 3 . Take out the left fork leg.
–
Unscrew screws

. Take out the right fork leg.
