The tire manufacture date is usually included in the tire identification num-
ber and comprises the last four digits of the
DOT code. The first two digits
indicate the week of manufacture and the last two digits the year of manu-
facture.
HUSABERG recommends replacing the tires after five years at the latest,
regardless of the actual wear.
» If the tires are older than five years:
–
Change the tire.

Checking the brake disks

Check the thickness of the front and rear brake disks at several places on the disk
to see if it conforms to measurement

Wear reduces the thickness of the brake disk around the area used by the
brake linings.
Brake discs - wear limit
Front 2.5 mm (0.098 in)
Rear 3.5 mm (0.138 in)
» If the brake disk thickness is less than the specified value:
–
Change the brake disk.

Check the front and rear brake disks for damage, cracking and deformation.
» If the brake disk exhibits damage, cracking or deformation:

Change the brake disk.
