Base Casting / Ballast Assembly Installation:
Make certain the electrical supply is
OFF
before starting installation.
1. Install the base casting/ballast assembly on the pre-set anchor bolts. Use flat washers
and hex nuts both below and above the base casting.
2. Level the top edge of the casting by adjusting the bottom leveling nuts. Tighten the
upper nuts.
3. Connect the circuit ground wire to the grounding lug on the ballast bracket.
4. Connect power supply leads to the ballast input leads. See diagram below.
NOTE:
For incandescent fixtures, connect the power supply leads directly to the lamp leads -
no ballast required
.
ATTENTION:
If your fixture is equipped with a multi-tap ballast and if no voltage was specified on the purchase order,
the ballast has been wired for operation on a 277 volt circuit (347v in Canada). If other than 277 volts is required, i.e.
120v, 208v, 240v, connect incoming voltage lead to selected voltage lead on ballast. Cap off all unused voltage leads.
