hot swap A feature that allows the insertion or removal of a blade or
component without affecting normal running of the system

Keyboard, video, and mouse. A switch that provides a public video,
keyboard, and mouse for all server nodes.

The element at the very front of a server node, perpendicular to the
PCB, which serves to mount connectors, indicators, controls, and
mezzanines, and also seals the front of the subrack for airflow and
EMC.

RAID
Redundant array of independent disks. RAID is a storage technology
that combines multiple independent physical disks into a logical
disk (disk group) in several ways, which are called RAID levels, to
provide higher storage and redundancy performance than a single
physical disk.

a device failure by having a backup device automatically replace the
faulty one.

SEL
System event log. A non-volatile storage area and the associated
ports that store system platform events for later retrieval.
