If the PSUs are properly installed and connected to the external power supply and the
server is in the standby state (the power indicator is steady yellow), power on the server
as follows:

Press the power button on the front panel to power on the server. For details about

Power on the server using the iBMC WebUI.

Log in to the iBMC WebUI. For details, see

Choose

page is displayed.
iii. Click
Power On
. In the displayed dialog box, click

to power on the server.

Power on the server using the Remote Virtual Console.

3.2 Powering Off the Server
NOTE

Services and programs running on the server will be interrupted when it is powered off. Before
powering off the server, ensure that all services and programs have been stopped or switched to
other servers.
l
The power-off described in this section the server to the standby state (the power indicator is steady
yellow).
l
After the server is powered off forcibly, wait for more than 10s to ensure that the server is powered
off completely. Then you can power it on again.
Power off the server using one of the following methods:
l
Use cables to connect the server to a video display, keyboard, and mouse, and shut down
the server OS to power off the server.
l
Press and hold down the power button on the front panel until the server is powered off.
