Maintenance Instructions
1.1 Maintenance Principles
Before performing maintenance, conform to the following recommendations:
z
Keep the device clean and dry.
z
Perform regular checks and tests according to the daily maintenance procedures and
record related data.
z
Quickly resolve any problems found during the maintenance process. When facing
problems that cannot be resolved, contact Huawei local representative office.
z
Do not reset devices or load or change data randomly. To change the data, back up the
data first and record change histories. If the devices run properly after the data has been
changed for a period of time, you can delete the backup data.
z
Assign rights to accounts based on levels. Change passwords periodically. Allocate
accounts only to maintenance personnel. The password of the management account is
only known to the maintenance owner.
1.2 Objective
Maintenance is performed to:
z
Locate and rectify potential faults in a timely manner to prevent economic loss.
z
Know the running status of devices and optimize the operating environment of devices to
improve device running efficiency.
1.3 Maintenance Precautions
Before performing maintenance, maintenance personnel must read and conform to the
following items:
z
Take electrostatic discharge (ESD) measures. For example, wear ESD wrist straps when
replacing device parts.
z
Record detailed information about problems that occur during maintenance.
