NOTE
l a. Temperature and humidity should be measured at a height of 1.5 m above the floor and 0.4 m
away from the front of the cabinet. There should be no protection boards at the front or back of the
cabinet.
l b. Short-term operation means that the continuous running time of devices does not exceed 96 hours
and the accumulated time of continuous running does not exceed 15 days per year. Running time
that exceeds these parameters is considered long-term operation.
To meet the preceding requirements, take the following measures:
l Use a perennial temperature-control device regardless of the local climate.
l Mop the ground regularly or use a humidifier to maintain proper humidity in dry areas of
in the equipment room.
l Use a dehumidifier where the humidity is high.
A.3.5 Dust Requirements
The dust accumulated on the device may cause electrostatic force, resulting in poor contact
for metal connectors or metal connection points. Electrostatic force not only affects the
device's life span, but also easily causes faults on the device.
The equipment room is free from explosive, conductive, magnetism-permeable, and corrosive
dust.
Table A-34 describes requirements on dust concentration in the equipment room.
