This section provides an example for configuring IPv6 dual-device hot backup.
Networking Requirements
NOTE
The X1 and X2 models of NE80E/40Es do not support RUI; therefore, they do not support IPv6 dual-
device hot backup.
As IPv4 addresses on live networks are exhausted, carriers start to deploy IPv6. To enable
services with IPv4 hot backup deployed to be smoothly upgraded and implement both IPv4 and
IPv6 reliability protection, deploy IPv6 dual-device hot backup.
