Precautions
When synchronous consistency groups are synchronizing, if the storage system has a
controller reset, which may cause synchronization failure in some remote replication tasks,
the consistency groups cannot guarantee data consistency.
Procedure
Step 1
Log in to DeviceManager.
Step 2
Choose
Data Protection
>
Remote Replication
>
Remote Replication
Consistency Group
.
Step 3
Right-click the desired consistency group and choose
Synchronize
.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
Step 4
Confirm the synchronization operation.
1.
Carefully read the contents of the dialog box. Select

to confirm the
information.
2.
Click

.
The
Success
dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation is successful.
3.
Click

7.4 Splitting a Consistency Group
This operation enables you to split all remote replication pairs in a consistency group
simultaneously so that a full data copy is generated for each secondary LUN in each pair,
facilitating report generation, test, data mining, decision making, and data recovery.
