4.7.3.9 Configuring the iSCSI Target Server
The Internet Small Computer System Interface (iSCSI) technology uses TCP/IP packets and
iSCSI packets to encapsulate SCSI packets. This allows SCSI commands and data to be
transmitted over an ordinary Ethernet. An iSCSI target is a server component of an iSCSI
network. Typically, an iSCSI target is a storage device that is used to store data and receive
and respond to requests from one or multiple clients. To enable clients running iSCSI Initiator
to access the shared space on a server, you must configure and enable the iSCSI target server
feature.
