3.1 Power-Off Procedure
NOTE
l
Powering off a compute node will interrupt all services and programs running on it. Therefore,
before powering off a compute node, ensure that all services and programs have been stopped or
migrated to other compute nodes.
l
The "power-off" mentioned here is an operation performed to change the compute node to the
standby state (the power indicator is steady yellow).
l
After a compute node is powered off forcibly, wait for more than 10 seconds for the compute node to
power off completely. Do not power on the compute node again before it is completely powered off.
l
Forced power-off may damage user programs or unsaved data. Exercise caution when performing
this operation.
The compute node can be powered off in any of the following ways:
l
Power off the chassis.
The compute node will be powered off along with the chassis.
l
Press the power button on the compute node front panel to power off the compute node
gracefully.
For details, see
l
Hold down the power button on the compute node front panel for six seconds to power
off the compute node forcibly.
For details, see
l
Use the MM910 WebUI.
For details, see

l
On the MM910 CLI, run the following command:
powerstate

The following describes how to power off a compute node using the MM910 WebUI.
Procedure
Step 1
Back up service data of the compute node.
Step 2
Log in to the MM910 WebUI.
