Running Java applications

Use 

Java

 to download, install, and manage MIDlets or MIDlet suites on your phone. MIDlets 

are Java applications such as games and tools that can run on mobile devices, while a MIDlet 
suite is a collection of one or more MIDlets.

Downloading and installing a MIDlet/MIDlet suite from the Web

Press HOME, and then tap

 Internet

.

On the web browser, press MENU, and then tap the URL field on top of the screen. 

Enter the web page address of the website where the MIDlet/MIDlet suite is located, and 
then tap the download link for the MIDlet/MIDlet suite.

Select where you want to install the MIDlet/MIDlet suite. Select 

/

 to install it on the phone 

or 

/SD card 

to install it on the microSD card.

If a warning message pops up, tap 

OK

. 

Make sure the MIDlet/MIDlet suite you are installing is from a trusted source. 

Installing a MIDlet/MIDlet suite from your phone

Copy the MIDlet/MIDlet suite from your computer to your phone. See “Copying files to 
and from the storage card” in the Basics chapter for details. 

Press HOME, and then tap

On the options menu, select the MIDlet/MIDlet suite you want to install.

Select where you want to install the MIDlet/MIDlet suite. Select

 to install it on the phone
