Auto launching the camera with Motion Launch Snap
When the screen is off, you can wake up the phone directly to the Camera app.

Press and hold the VOLUME UP or VOLUME DOWN button, and then lift the
phone in landscape orientation.

Or first lift the phone in landscape orientation, and then press the VOLUME UP
or VOLUME DOWN button right away.
If you've set up a screen lock with credentials, you'll be asked to provide your
credentials when you exit the Camera app.
Making a call with Quick call
When the screen is off and HTC One is in sleep mode, easily make a call by just
swiping and using voice commands.

Motion Launch gestures
and
Quick call
are turned on in
Settings

Display & gestures
>
Motion Launch gestures

If you've set a screen lock with credentials, you'll be asked to provide your
credentials first before you can make the call.

Lift the phone in portrait orientation.

Swipe down the screen right away. You need to start swiping from the upper
half of the screen.
