For cutting chases into concrete

and masonry.

Operating & Safety Guide 733

Holding the cutter with both hands, guide it along
the cutting line,

supplying just enough pressure to

ensure reasonable progress.

Remove the cutter from the cut before switching
OFF and wait for the disc to stop before putting it
aside.

Never force the cutter through the work.

If it jams

in the cut, switch OFF, free it and check the disc for
damage before going on.

Regularly clean out the tool’s ventilation slots.

If

these clog with dust, the tool’s motor could burn out.

Never work with a damaged or dirty blade.

It not

only produces poor work but could overload the cutter’s
motor.

When cleaning, remember to switch OFF and
unplug the tool.

Never use the cutter to cut through material
containing reinforcement bars and other
obstacles.

It is dangerous and will damage the disc.

Before returning the cutter, brush off any dust and
dirt,

paying particular attention to the motor’s ventilation

slot.

Finally,

empty the dust collection bag, neatly coil

the cable ready for return to your local HSS Hire
Shop.
