Wet Vacuum

with

Auto Pump

A powerful industrial vacuum cleaner

for dedicated wet pick-up. Ideal for

liquid spillage’s and lightly flooded

areas.

Operating & Safety Guide 458

Always

position yourself so you can control the

vacuums whereabouts

while ensuring that neither of

the hose or the power supply cable are under strain.

Move the wand back-wards in straight strips

across

the floor, working in a methodical pattern to ensure the
entire area is vacuumed.

Take your time and don’t over do it.

You are more

likely to have an accident if you are tired or rushing.

If you do not switch the auto pump ON, once the
waste tank is filled to its maximum capacity, the
sound of the motor will increase and the suction
will stop.
When this happens, turn the vacuum OFF

(move

the switch to the ‘0’ position),

then making sure that

the discharge hose is routed to a suitable
discharge point, switch the auto pump ON.
Once the waste tank is empty, the pump will
automatically stop. If the discharge hose has to be
removed from the discharge point, make sure that
you switch the pump OFF before proceeding.
When you have finished with the vacuum, empty
the contents via the pump and discharge hose
then switch everything OFF and disconnect the
vacuum from its power supply.
Disconnect the vacuum hose and wand and the

discharge hose. Empty
both of any remaining
water and neatly coil.
Unclip the power unit and
remove the ball filter.
Unclip the top cover and
remove the inlet filter box.
Tip out any remaining
water into a suitable
container or down a
suitable drain

if the liquid is

safe to do so.

Empty the filter box of any
debris and rinse with fresh
water before re assembling
the unit. Refit the power
unit securing it in place
with the side clips.

Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits.

If it will not do what you want with reasonable

ease and speed, assume you have the wrong tool for the
job. Contact your local HSS Hire Shop for advice.

Keep the equipment clean –

you will find this less of a

chore if you clean it regularly, rather than wait until the
end of the hire period.

Remember, it is your responsibility to dispose of the
contents of the waste tank in a responsible manner.

EQUIPMENT CARE

When not in use,

store the equipment somewhere

clean, dry and safe

from thieves.

Switch OFF and unplug the vacuum. Clean the
inlet filter box and remove any remaining liquid
from the waste tank as described in BASIC
TECHNIQUES.

Collect all the parts together, neatly coil the power
supply cable and give the unit a final clean up
ready for return,

to your local HSS Hire Shop.
