of tile up to 50mm thick.

Operating & Safety Guide 598

Set the guard as low as possible,

ideally 1mm higher

than the tile being cut.

Switch the unit ON, lay the tile (good face up) on
the machine and pass it through the blade.

Make sure you keep your hands clear of the blade
at all times. Don’t be fooled! The diamond blade is
of a smooth appearance, but it can still cut you.

Never push the equipment beyond its design
limits.

If it will not do what you want with reasonable

ease, assume you have the wrong equipment for the
job. Contact your local HSS Hire Shop for advice.

Check the water level in the reservoir at regular
intervals, never allow the blade to become dry, top
up as necessary.

Keep the unit clean,

you will find this less of a chore if

you clean up regularly instead of waiting until the end of
the hire period.

When not in use, store the equipment somewhere
clean, dry and safe

from thieves.

Switch the unit OFF and unplug from the power
supply. Then empty the water reservoir and clean
out any sludge, taking care not to cut yourself on
any slithers of tile.

Give the unit a final clean, then neatly coil the
lead, ready for return to your local HSS Hire Shop.
