GENERAL INFORMATIONS
MAGNETOTHERAPY
Magnetotherapy is a form of
physiotherapy that uses
electromagnetic energy, stimulating
tissue regeneration. Magnetotherapy is
part of physical therapy using low
frequency and low intensity pulsed
magnetic fields; uses the action of a
magnetic field induced by the electric
current flowing through a coil
(solenoid). It is believed that the
fundamental principle through which
magnetotherapy exerts the therapeutic
effects
is to restore order
in an industry presumably
in magnetic disorder. Magnetotherapy
also performs an action that promotes
tissue repair processes and stimulates
the natural organic defenses. Based
on the biological effects, the
therapeutic action of magnetic fields
can be summarized in two main points
of attack:
- anti-inflammatory and anti-edema
- stimulating tissue repair processes
Cell membranes are
in practice of the "tiny batteries" of
which it was possible to measure the
voltage delivered, more precisely in
healthy nerve cells a potential
difference of 90 millivolts is measured
between the inner nucleus and the
outer membrane
(thousandths of a volt), in other cells
this voltage is around 70 millivolts.
When the tension inside the cells tends
to discharge, the body feels the
consequences in the form of
inflammatory processes, pain in the
bones, joints, back, wounds that do not
heal. When these cells get sick, due to
an infection or trauma or any other
cause, they lose their energy reserve,
so a cell that, if healthy, should have a
voltage of 70 millivolts, only measures
50/55 millivolts; when this voltage falls
below 30 millivolts there is necrosis, ie
cell death.
The purpose of magnetotherapy is to
recharge and regenerate cells lacking
vital energy.
The pathology of the musculoskeletal
system represents the most speci fi c
field of application of magnetotherapy;
In particular, the post-traumatic one
responds excellently to this type of
treatment. All traumatic events, from
small speech trauma to severe
fracture, can benefit from this therapy
with sometimes sensational healing
times. The bone pathology treated with
magnetotherapy also showed
reparative processes and shorter
recovery times.
It can therefore be said that
magnetotherapy, exploiting
high frequencies, can represent a first
choice therapeutic method, especially
in inflammatory, traumatic and
degenerative pathology of the osteo-
articular and muscle-tendon systems.
Pulsed magnetic fields improve its
osteogenesis. They favor the increase
of vascular circulation
(hypervascularization) and favor the
increase in bone strength. It also has
beneficial effects on the central -
peripheral nervous system and on
inflammations, favoring:
- increase of ionic exchanges at the
cell membrane level;
- membrane stabilization with
hyperpolarization phenomena related
to the influence on the sodium /
potassium pump and ion exchange;
- normalization of electrical
conductivity;
- analgesic effect;
- increase in mental performance and
individual performance;
- neuroregulatory action
at the level of the diencephalon,
the reticular substance,
hypothalamus, adrenal gland, liver
and spleen;
CMP-BF (low frequency
pulsed magnetic fields)
The use of electromagnetic energy, in
the form of low frequency and low
intensity pulsed magnetic fields, to
stimulate tissue regeneration is now
more than consolidated. It is believed
that the fundamental principle
through which the pulsed magnetic
fields BF exert the beneficial effects is
that of restoring order in a sector
presumably in magnetic disorder. The
pulsed magnetic fields BF also carry
out an action that favors the
reparative processes of the tissues
and stimulates the natural organic
defenses. Based on the biological
effects, the healing action of magnetic
fields can be summarized in two main
points of attack:
- anti-inflammatory and anti-edema
- stimulating tissue repair processes
The purpose of BF pulsed magnetic
fields is to recharge and regenerate
cells lacking vital energy.
The pulsed magnetic fields -BF applied
with this apparatus, together with the
pulsed light, are particularly effective in
the ANTI-AGING TISSUE ACTION:
• action on collagen;
• vasodilation,
• improvement of skin and
connective tissue metabolism.
- anti-edema effect;
- effect on the pump
sodium / potassium;
- modification of membrane
permeability;
- bacteriostatic activity;
- resolution of muscle spasm;
- analgesic action;
- acceleration of soft tissue healing
processes;
- normalization of the potential
difference between the injured region
of the cell membrane and the normal
region (there is a potential imbalance
in many pathologies).
