Installation
Installing the Smart Array P240nr and H240nr Smart
HBA with HPE Synergy
CAUTION:
Hewlett Packard Enterprise recommends performing a complete backup of all
server data before performing a controller or adapter installation or removal.
CAUTION:
In systems that use external data storage, be sure that the server is the first unit
to be powered down and the last to be powered back up. Taking this precaution ensures that
the system does not erroneously mark the drives as failed when the server is powered up.

To install the component:
1.
Power down the compute module.
2.
Remove the compute module.
3.
Place the compute module on a flat, level work surface.
4.
Remove the access panel.
5.
Remove all drives.
6.
Remove all drive blanks.
7.
Remove the front panel/drive cage assembly.
