Power supply failure
Symptom
The power supply has failed.
NOTE: You can use the LEDs on the power supply to identify a power supply failure. For more information about the LEDs on a
power supply, see HPE A58x0AF 650W AC (JC680A) & 650W DC (JC681A) Power Supplies User Guide or HPE FlexFabric
Switch 650W 48V Hot Plug NEBS Compliant DC Power Supply (JH336A) User Guide.
If the LEDs on the power supply are not steady green (active) or blinking green (standby), the power supply is faulty.

Installing/removing a power supply on page 27.
Action
1. Verify that the power cord is connected securely.
2. Verify that the power source meets the requirement.
3. Verify that the temperature of the switch is in the normal range and the power supply has good ventilation.
4. If the problem persists, contact Hewlett Packard Enterprise Support.
Fan tray failure
Symptom
One or more fan trays fail.
CAUTION:
• If one fan tray fails, perform the following tasks:
◦
Finish replacing the fan tray within 24 hours and do not remove the failed fan tray before replacement when the
ambient temperature is below 27°C (80.6°F).
◦
Replace the fan tray immediately when the ambient temperature is above 27°C (80.6°F).
• f both fan trays fail, finish replacing the fan trays within 2 minutes.
When a fan tray has problems, the system status LED is steady red and the system outputs alarm messages.

Configuration terminal problems
If the configuration environment setup is correct, the configuration terminal displays booting information when the switch is
powered on.
If the setup is incorrect, the configuration terminal displays nothing or garbled text.
